6.2.1 Installing Oracle Database Instant Client on Windows. On the Instant Client Downloads page, choose Instant Client for Linux x86-64. On the Instant Client Downloads page for Linux, accept the license agreement and select the RPM for Instant Client Package - Basic. A 32 bit application requires also a 32 bit Oracle Client.
